Jim is a Partner and President of Flackman, Goodman & Potter, P.A.

Jim is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and financial statement preparation as well as related multi-state tax issues for the audit, review, or compilation, of several of the Firm’s largest clients.  He has diverse experience in other aspects of business services, tax, financial and estate planning, retirement plan consultation and administration, foreign tax and accounting issues with emphasis on U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies, mediation and negotiation of shareholder agreements and disputes, and litigation support services for businesses and individuals.  Jim has helped clients in obtaining financing, including providing sources, negotiation of terms and preparation of loan documentation.

Jim has been involved with FGP's Transaction Advisory Service team, assisting in structuring acquisition financing and the valuation of closely held businesses.

Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Jim has served as a Past member of the Wyckoff Board of Adjustment, Chairman of Wyckoff Recreation Board, Commissioner of the Wyckoff Baseball Association, and member of the Wyckoff / Midland Park Rotary.  He is also a speaker on technical financial and tax related topics to various professional and civic organizations.

Jim earned an MBA from Rutgers University in 1979 after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 1977.
